Laughless Saint Blessings Guide
A blessing is not automatically a buff
This is the trap that catches the most builds. Blessings present themselves as permanent upgrades — the sort of thing you grab and think about later. At least one of them is a serious downgrade for half the builds in the game.
Stone’s blessing reduces magicka regeneration by 50%.
For a pure physical build that may be an acceptable trade. For a spellcaster it undermines the resource the entire character runs on. The failure mode is not reading past the first line:
The bigger mistake is assuming every permanent effect is a straight-up upgrade. Stop clicking through them because the first number looks good. Read the entire effect before you build around the reward.
Confirmed blessings
| Blessing | Effect | How obtained |
|---|---|---|
| Stone | Magicka regeneration reduced by 50% | Observed in the shipped build |
| Remembrance of Past | Pickpocketing increased by 50% during the day | Reward for completing Right Where I Found It |
Remembrance of Past is a good illustration of how blessings enter your build through story rather than shopping. The real Ramba hands it over once her identity is restored:
“Take this blessing. I have no need of it.”
Note the daytime condition — it is a 50% bonus with a schedule attached, not a flat buff. If you do your stealing at night it does nothing for you.
Blessings and the race system
There is a mechanical relationship worth knowing between blessings and races. One race, the Rugaard, was described as saturated with magic thanks to close proximity to their deity. Divine favour is a theme the game builds systems around rather than just flavour text, which is consistent with blessings being a real, tracked category of permanent effect.
What we have not confirmed
There is almost certainly a wider set of blessings than the two above — the game’s deities are a stated part of the setting. We have not found a verifiable list, and NerveLabs has not published one, so we are not going to speculate. If you find a blessing with its exact effect text, that is the kind of thing worth reporting to the developers’ Discord, where they have said they monitor feedback.
