Laughless Saint Console Commands
Confirmed commands
A console exists, and NerveLabs has documented commands as it adds them. These two are stated directly in official announcements:
| Command | What it does | Added |
|---|---|---|
changeappearance | Changes your character’s appearance. Announced alongside the race-change mirror | Update 7, 21 Aug 2026 |
resetcamera | Resets the camera | Update 6, 20 Aug 2026 |
Both were introduced as quality-of-life additions rather than debug leftovers, which is a reasonable sign the console is a supported feature rather than something to be pried open.
changeappearance is the console counterpart to the in-world race-change mirror on the southern shore — see races. If you dislike your character’s look, that is the pair of options you have.
resetcamera is worth remembering because the game’s dialogue camera is one of its signature quirks. Press coverage singled out its “dialogue camera hijinks” as a defining feature, and a camera that does unusual things is a camera that occasionally needs resetting.
Why this list is short
You will find pages elsewhere claiming to cover “all currently included console commands and the available spell IDs” for this game. We are not reproducing those, for two reasons.
First, we cannot verify them. NerveLabs has published no command reference. A list we cannot check against an official or directly observed source is a list we would be asking you to trust on nothing.
Second, spell IDs in particular change. The game shipped on 17 August and by 21 August had received seven updates that added a Jump spell, made the Unlock spell craftable, and refined and rebalanced spell crafting entirely. Any ID table written in that window is a snapshot of a moving target.
If you want the systems rather than the shortcuts, spell crafting covers what is actually confirmed about building spells.
How to open the console
We have not confirmed the key binding from an official or directly observed source, so we are not going to guess at it. This is the kind of detail the developers answer directly — they have stated they are on standby in their Steam Discussions and Discord, and the community links are on our FAQ.
A note on using the console at all
This is an early access game with an actively churning balance pass. Console use is not going to break your save in any documented way, but two things are worth bearing in mind:
- The Amphitheater tracks what you do to the island’s inhabitants, and it is the payoff for the whole campaign. Editing around a quest outcome edits the ending you get.
- The developers explicitly ask for bug reports. If something is broken, a report helps more than a workaround — the update cadence in the first week was roughly one build per day.
